Welcome to the
Calvary Presbyterian Church
of Bayfield United in Hope, Joined in Faith
We want to alert everyone to a new scam affecting churches in our area and across other presbyteries.
Scammers are contacting church offices and asking for a copy of the church directory. They often claim to be a recent visitor or say they have attended church with a spouse or partner.
If they receive a directory, scammers then use the names and contact information to send fake emails or text messages. These messages may appear to come from our pastor or another church member and usually ask for urgent help or money.
Please remember:
-
Our church will NEVER share the church directory by email or text.
-
Do NOT send money, gift cards, or personal information in response to these messages.
-
When in doubt, call the church office or speak directly with the pastor.
-
Thank you for helping protect our church community.
Calvary Presbyterian Church of Bayfield is the only main stream traditional reformed church in the area. It was established in 1898, 125 years ago, as the first church in Bayfield and has served as a community church throughout the years. Because the church was originally served by traveling Presbyterian ministers from Albuquerque N.M., it became a part of that denomination.

The Bayfield church is a warm, friendly congregation which is actively involved in the community. Their vision is to learn, live and serve as the body of Christ.

Sundays are our time to come together and join in worship. Our service is filled with beautiful organ music, old hymns and some new praise songs, prayers, confession, times of silence and reflection, learning from scriptures and the sermon and receiving the sacraments. All help us to experience the presence of God in our lives.
